Building Wooden Planter Boxes

In plenty of time for spring planting, you can learn how to build two different types of wooden planter boxes.  Ed Erickson will build both types and install one in his yard.  You will be able to see the process from start to completion.  He will also answer any questions about more elaborate or complicated designs.  You will get a handout with instructions to take home. After the workshop you will be able to go to the hardware store to get the necessary materials, then bring them home and assemble and install the planter in your yard.

The workshop will be led by Ed Erickson in his Del Mar garden.  He has been  a licensed general contractor since 1983 and has lots of experience with landscape work, including designing and constructing planters.

If it rains:  Call Ed Erickson at 760-519-3524 the morning of the workshop.  The rain might not be hard enough at his house to cancel.

Bring the following:

  • Sunscreen
  • Hat
  • Water
  • Closed-toe shoes are REQUIRED

By registering for this workshop I understand that I will attend this workshop at my own risk.  Host gardens, workshop instructors, and the San Diego Horticultural Society assume no liability whatsoever.
