Garden Host at the San Diego County Fair


As a volunteer Garden Host at our exhibit during the San Diego County Fair, you are part of our biggest outreach to the San Diego Community. For a few hours, you will answer questions about our exhibit, water conservation, the Horticultural Society and get free entry to the Fair.

  • You must be a San Diego Horticultural Society member.
  • You may sign up for multiple shifts.
  • Use the Register button to the left to volunteer.
  • If you use an online calendar, when you register as a volunteer, use the Add to my calendar button in the upper right of this page to add the event to your calendar.  
  • You are responsible for your own transportation to and parking at the Fair.  More information about parking is available at: Fair Parking
  • Shift times include 30 minutes to get from the parking lot to our exhibit.
  • You must read Volunteer instructions 
  • Your shift tickets are available at the Will Call desk at the main entrance gate (also known as the O'Brien gate) to the Fairgrounds
  • If you must cancel, please cancel as early as possible by emailing Volunteer Coordinator.
