Topic: Butterfly Gardening

Description: Solve the mystery of attracting butterflies to your garden. Learn about the life cycle of the butterfly and what they need to thrive in your garden.  Which plants should you choose?  Bring your questions and take home answers that will help you create the butterfly garden of your dreams!

Speaker:  Bill Howell is a retired biology teacher who has become enamored with butterflies.  He has volunteered with the Monarch Butterfly Program and traveled to Mexico to continue his research.  He will share a wonderful PowerPoint presentation that answers questions about our beautiful native butterflies.

Location:  Poway

Park at the end of Monte Vista Rd cul-de-sac and the shuttle will take you to the site.  Workshop to be held rain or shine. 

Please bring the following:

  • Drinking Water
  • Closed-toe shoes are REQUIRED
  • A note pad and pen/pencil.
