A pictorial history of citrus in Southern California. Using antique photographs, citrus expert and horticultural historian John Clements will lead us on a tour of the places that made citrus famous in California and share stories of the people that made the citrus golden age happen. We will also discuss citrus varieties for our area and their cultivation.

John is the Horticulture Manager of the San Diego Botanic Garden, one of the founders of the popular Facebook group San Diego Gardener, and a long time member of the San Diego Horticulture Society.

The meeting recording will be available online at  San Diego Horticultural Society's YouTube channel the week following the live presentation.
