Tour of the extensive gardens to follow the open discussion. Share questions, answers and comments on previous fall endeavors and... how is that summer crop doing?
Roy Wilburn was a commercial tomato, pepper and strawberry grower in Mexico for 20 years. He then went on to be the grower for Herb Thyme Farms in Oceanside for about 3 years. He is now the Director of Horticulture at Sunshine Care, A Community of Assisted Living Homes in Poway. There he manages 5 organic fields, a greenhouse, a rose garden and two fruit tree orchards plus the landscaping of the 32-acre facility. He also oversees food bank gardens on site and school gardens.
